What offers the region around IRONMAN Austria?

The IRONMAN Austria is one of the biggest triathlons worldwide among the 22 triathlon races of this trademark. Carinthia fascinates the athletes anew each year. The reason for that is the perfect triathlon-landscape which is offered by Austria’s most southern province. The pleasant climate, the little rainfall, the lakes, mountains and hills which make the bike track challenging, frame the perfect ambience to combine these three sports. Carinthia is Sun. South. Summer fun.
The closeness to the Mediterranean Sea brings an almost Mediterranean climate with unusually many sunshine hours.
The Carinthian summer has much to offer. Imbedded in a unique landscape with its high mountain tops and rolling hills the country offers more than 1.200 lakes for refreshing in the water, being sporty or for relaxing at the beach.
