Teams

Swim

Already for the first discipline, the 2500 starters need your helping hands. During the start and in the water the volunteers help to find the right way. When exiting the water after a long hard swim, a helping hand is welcome by every athlete.

Transition area

In the transition area, you support the athletes in changing as fast as possible from one discipline to the next. You are responsible for their full equipment, from the wetsuit to the bikes.

Bike/ Run Aid Station

Provide the athletes with the energy they need – with drinks, snacks and cheering! On the bike course you provide energy bars and filled drinking bottles. Fresh fruits, drinks, energy gels and a big cheer give the athletes enough energy on the running course.

FinishLine

The Finish line is split up into several teams:

- Catcher

In the Catcher Team, you give the athletes a warm welcome at the Finish Line. Some of them have given everything to reach the finish line and need now to be guided or even carried to massage and the medical team. The emotions are so strong because the athletes have reached their dream and become an IRONMAN. Become part of these sensational emotions.

- Finisher Shirts / Medals

You are one of the first congratulators after this hard day! Feel the emotions and the joy  by handing over the finisher shirts and the medals as a recognition for their extraordinary achievement on that day.

- Massage

As part of the massage team, you help the athletes to recover after this long hard day. Your experienced hands help to relief the pain of the last 226km. Massage Services are also offered on the days before the race.

- Medical Team

The Medical Team provides the medical support the athletes need during and after the race. You will work together with the Austrian Red Cross and your support will be needed on the race course as well as mainly in the finish area. We are looking for doctors and specialized personal.

Registration

The registration is the first point of contact for every athlete. In the registration, we need your support in the days before the race (Thursday to Saturday), but also on Monday after the race for next year’s registration.

Media Team

In the Media Team you are responsible for the accreditation of international journalists, their support in the days before and during the race as well as the communication within the organizational team.

The Media Team is made up of “Spotters” (provide information over the race), “speakerinfo” (give information to the speaker) and “Media Center” (accreditation and support of journalists).

Language skills are an advantage but not absolutely required.

AskMe- Team

Here athletes and visitors ask you all about the IRONMAN race, area and many more things. As a part of the AskMe- Team language skills are a big benefit!

Biker/Shuttle Service

On raceday biker and Car Shuttle Service carry photographers and cameramen to the hot spots of the race course or they are sitting right behind you and take shoots of the race.

Bikers also carry the Race Marshals. There we need many Volunteers.

Marshal

As a Marshal you are in action during the Race Course. Your will take care all athletes observe the Race Rules. In this case you need an instruction, which you get by the KOTRV before.
